Incidents

An incident is automatically opened when a check fails.

On the monitoring detail page you can see incidents that ever happend for this service in a paginated table.

Incident modal

 

The incident modal gives you information about

  • the current status

  • which kind of error occurred

  • an explanation + conditionally a part of the error check stack trace

  • when it was opened

The care taker feature creates visibility of who handles it. Users can take care of an incident and show other users that somebody is already detecting and fixing the problem.

Incidents can be manually resolved by closing them.

Users can communicate with each other by commenting on the incident.
Example: ‘There was nothing reported in Sentry, I am checking the server logs now'
